Soccer coach? Want to get game stats? Try out iSoccerStatz. Available on iTunes now.

We’ve set out a new approach to support soccer clubs and to help get our product out there. It’s a great way to add value to your event, plus a great way to try out our products. We already have a few takers, including this upcoming tournament in Texas this next weekend: Dynamos Puma Select Annual Valentine Tournament.
If any of you organise tournaments and want to add more value to your event get in touch at tournaments@statzpack.com
Come along to one of our upcoming demonstration sessions. Find out how our system can give your club the edge, test it out for yourself and see some of the new features that will be included in the 2010 version of the product (which will all be free to those customers using our system). Find out which senior county teas are using the system – how they use it and why. The event is free admission.

We’ve teamed up with girlsinfootball.co.uk to offer the chance to win a subscription to Statzpack Soccer. Get over to this up and coming new website and enter the competition. We look forward to reading all the entries.
One of the leading users of Statzpack Soccer from the MLS Academy League Houston Dynamo took their team to Bolivia. We wished them well.. and it looks like they had a good trip. Check out all the photos here
As exhibitors at the NSCAA convention we saw first hand how sport can be used to connect people with a cause, and how very quickly people can make human connections. One of our neighbours at the convention was Kicks Against Breast Cancer. An annual tournament run by a Louise Waxler with the core aim of raising awareness and funds toward beating breast cancer, and to date they have raised over $100,000. Check out their site www.kicksagainstbreastcancer.org
And in the wake of the disaster that hit Haiti last week, one bright spark or probably two, put together the idea of fund raising for the Red Cross by putting together the Haiti United T-Shirt. Selling for $17.99 all funds will be channelled to the Red Cross. Go join the 2000+ people who have already gone online and supported this worthy cause. As a footnote we had a soccer coach from Haiti visit us at our stand and he could tell us some pretty grim stories – he had been lucky enough to have left Haiti before the earthquake struck, but had the nightmare of dealing with some very tragic news. Soccer didn’t seem that important all of a sudden.
What’s with the two soccer Apps? Why have two? What do they do? How do they differ? At the NSCAA convention we were asked about this by some of the people we met. How comes one is for free and one costs money? Yes, it is probably time explained it.
The story with Statzsoccer. We initially set off to build an iTunes App that could be used in conjunction with our subscription service – Statzpack – so we built the Statzsoccer App. This App can only be used by subscribers to our web based team admin and analysis service – seemore abou thsi service here. Anyone can download it but it needs a valid log into enable its use (hence its low star rating on iTunes produce by countless people downloading it and then realizing they cant use it and deleting and hitting the ‘one star rating’ Doh!) This App serves up game and team data to the user when you log in which it takes from information a user has added on the web. Likewise when connected to a network, the App will send recorded game data to the web.
iSoccerStatz: son of Statzsoccer. After the initial success of the Statzpack Soccer service it dawned on us.. ‘ ummm what if we can take this App and make it ’standalone’ with no need for users to subscribe to the online service?’. For people who want to follow one team. After all, there has to be some people who want an App to record – and we are glad to see there are many. Coaches, footy fans, soccer moms, players and the odd sports stat nut. We salute you!
Whats in common? They both record the same data in the same way; they both work on the iPod touch or iPhone; they both provide the same half and full time stats summary.
Whats different? On the iSoccerStatz App you can select jersey and shorts colours; you get to add a team name; you can add a single roster/squad of players; with StatzSoccer and the web bsased service you get to add many teams and players; but you can upload a basic stats summary up to the web to share with your team or friends.
Are we going to merge two the Apps into one? Well probably just not yet, but we have put it on our roadmap to take a closer look at.
You can check out the Apps out at itunes.
The lucky winner of our drawer for an Apple iPod touch and 1 year subscription was Jen Barr of Northview High School, Cumming, GA.
Well done Jen and to Northview, and thank you to everyone who visited us at our stand at the convention.
We are delighted to announce the addition of Denise Martin to the Statzpack team. Denise brings over a decade of analysis at the highest level in both gaelic sports and rugby. She is regular commentator and columnist in the Irish News.
Statzpack have launched their latest iTunes App – iSoccerStatz. Designed with the input of MLS, English Premier League Analysts and UEFA qualified coaches. Record your teams stats whether you are soccer mentalist, a keen coach or a soccer mom. At picthside you record the events as they occur with 1 – 2 screen touches. Set up your team, choose your jersey and shorts colours. Afterwards you can even upload your stats up to the web and share them with your players. Read More
