A quick look shows how much more of the screen you can see when using a stylus.

Over the past year or so there has been an increase in the availability of stylus’s for smart-phones. So what about a stylus for the iPhone?  Apple don’t sell them directly, but you can get your hands on them online for around $10-15 and there are various types and quality.

So with the help of our sports studies intern Aileen we carried out some research to find out ‘would the use of the stylus improve the Statzpack experience?’  The answer was.. YES!  In general when using a stylus approximately 25% more of the screen is visible.  The central advantage is the use of a stylus increases greater visibility of the screen and hence improves recording accuracy and speed.

We then tested 5 different types of stylus and we concluded that the best stylus to use with Statzpack was a basic soft touch stylus.  Not only can you see more of the screen it was the best stylus type for the action selection in our App.
